Hello lovely humans,
Happy February. I don’t know how we got here so quickly, but I don’t necessarily mind it. You’re busy and I’m busy, so I will keep today’s post brief. Here is a glimpse into things to help you power through these jam-packed days and to keep you stylish as ever.

Eat
AVO
Pronounced like an avocado, “avo” is a plant-based industrial styled eatery that brings out all the flavors of each season. Carnivores will be pleasantly surprised with the restaurant’s hearty meat-free options. This is a place with low pressure and lots of good vibes. I opted for the kale caesar, which was everything I wanted and then some more. Shake up your routine and check it out.
PROPER BAGEL
Proper Bagel is the most enduring of all my favorite Nash spots. You are hard-pressed to find someone with bad things to say about this quaint and chic eatery located right next to Belmont. The owners hail from New York and are well established in the bagel scene (think lox bagels). Instagrammers flock to the picture-ready tile and crafted plates. Recommendations: Fig & Prosciutto toast or Kale Salad.
WEAR
So picture this: one day you are freezing to death under eight million layers and the next you are wearing a tank ready to lay in the warm sun. Sound familiar? This crazy weather lends itself to both me and my wardrobe being transitional and dynamic. Here are some pieces I wore to fend off the cold and bask in the sunshine!!!
DO
SPORTING EVENTS
The Super Bowl. I guess this doesn’t really require any additional explanation? If you didn’t watch the ads, be sure to stream the recaps on YouTube as they are always my favorite part of the game. I did not get to watch the game in a typical manner this year. However, I still managed to enjoy the game via my laptop, which was sitting next to a regrettably large pile of homework.
MEDITATION
Take some time out of your day to set intentions, goals, whatever you need to help you be the better version of you. I am trying to make more time in my life to pause and self-reflect. With the Vanderbilt craziness, a deep breath and an internal moment can go a very long way. Meditation can take a variety of form and mediums. My personal favorite are meditation based yoga classes, but the internet has a plethora of online guides to help you find your zen.
