As finals approach (only 20 days until the last day of class!), it’s important to remember that you can take a break. And if you’re not interested in spending any money, there are plenty of free events held by student orgs.

The Centre for Student Wellbeing will be hosting their weekly Friday yoga until May 3rd. The centre provides equipment, so no need to bring anything.
April 5th- Commons Recess Destress
4-6 P.M., Commons Lawn
Take a quick break with the Commons Leadership Council at Commons Recess Destress for free ice cream, music, lawn games, and more. No RSVP required.
April 7th- West House Craft Fest
8-9:30 P.M., West House Seminar Room
Take a break from studying with painting, legos, and snacks.
April 11th & 16th- East House’s Post-Exam Destress Treats
8:30-9:30 P.M., East Lobby
East House will be giving out post-exam treats on the 11th and the 16th.
April 14th- Commons End-of-Year Block Party
5-7 P.M., Commons Centre South Patio Lawn
The End-of-Year Block Party will host a number of activities, including music, a mechanical bull (when in Nashville…), and the reveal of the 2024 Commons Cup winner.
April 17th- Association for Women in Mathematics Finals Destress
5-6 P.M., Stevenson 1312
Join AWM for networking, boba, and food. Attendees will also receive goodie bags.
April 21st- VUCA x KUSA x AASA Pork Belly Night
7-9 P.M., Multicultural Space
The Vandy Undergraduate Chinese Association, Korean Undergraduate Student Association, and the Asian American Student Association’s dinner will have kimchi, rice, and pork belly. To attend, RSVP in the Google Form in the orgs Instagram bios (@vanderbiltaasa, @vandy_vuca, and @vanderbiltkusa) that should be released by April 14th at the latest.
April 23rd- First-Gen/Low-Income End-of-Year Reception
4:30-6:30 P.M., Curb Centre
FGLI students are welcome to attend an end-of-year reception. The event is split into two parts; the first hour will be for members of the mentorship program to share their feedback. The second hour will be for FGLI students, staff, and allies to bond over food and activities.
