Last week was the best roommate in the world birthday (my roommate Alex)! Considering that it is most of our first time having a birthday away from home, it is nice to do something special. Here are some cheap and easy ways to celebrate your friend’s birthday.
Balloons & Decorations
You can’t go wrong with some simple party decor. I ordered balloons off of Amazon and grabbed a few things from CVS. I know my roommate was pleasantly surprised when she came back to the dorm decorated!
Homemade Card
You can make something as simple as a homemade card. Throw in a favorite quote, inside jokes, or a heartfelt message, and it’ll definitely bring a smile. You don’t need to be an artist because Pinterest has lots of easy ideas for creating cute, personal cards!
Fun Video
If you have some time, a video is a sentimental gift that they’ll love. Gather clips and photos, and ask friends to send in quick birthday shoutouts. Combine everything into a montage, and your friend will have a birthday memory they can enjoy anytime.
Movie Night
Celebrating on a weeknight? A relaxed movie night is the perfect way to make your friend’s birthday feel special without going out. Grab a movie, popcorn, and something comfy and enjoy the night.
Go Out to Eat
Classic, but always appreciated. Take them out to their favorite spot or try someplace new. There are so many nice places on Taste of Nashville to try out. If you’re feeling fancy and the weather is nice, you can even grab some stuff from munchies and have a picnic in the park.
